Does anyone have feedback on the HP Designjet 130 printer?

we have a hp130nr. was problematic with jams and streaking color, but way better than our older epson. the hp lasted several years before succumbing to age and breaking too much. it did nice large format photos at the expense of using lots of ink and printheads. for a little more, if you haven't...

need help finding the perfect wide format printer for our needs

I've been looking into purchasing a wide format printer for a couple of years, but i am no where nearer to figuring out what i need. Please help. our needs are posters, retail bands, labels. our wants are white ink, UV ink or non latex, direct printing to different types of material (rolls are...

is there a difference between fixed cpp vs. single click charge?

Click Per Print vs single click charge terms being equal, helped save us a lot of cash. thanks

is there a difference between fixed cpp vs. single click charge?

thanks, we figured out that they accidentally reverted the count back to original odometer and applied their default click fee. Is why we always verify invoices. They probably are trying to cover their expenses by upping the click charges, has happened before. contract shows otherwise.

is there a difference between fixed cpp vs. single click charge?

our contract is for fixed cpp at $.04 color for life of lease. recently, service company started messing with us (we are between the 12 and 18 month hassle zone), reset the counter and has been charging us 2-7 clicks per print (based on size, coverage, ect). They maintain counter reset was...

    Which printer

we swapped out our KM with a canon 9075 and a BW 8095. heavy gloss stocks, labels, and registration are much better on the canon. much less jamming. much less maintenance. we do about 90,000 11X17-12X18 prints a month with much less fuss then the konica.

where do y'all get your paper?

have had a crap time trying to find fairly basic 12X18 and 13X19 paper for digital printing, specifically looking for a good thick 250 gsm range matte paper for perfect binding. any suggestions?

    Printer for Calendars

would think the indigo would definitely be overkill, we ran about that many last winter on a konica with inline saddle stitching, worked good, but konica needed a lot of service to keep running correctly. Something modern on the smallish side would probably suit your needs. We like the color and...

swapped from creo to fiery: this can't be right?

thanks, fairly standard catalog. 200 pages Impositioned 9X12 to 12X18 through Print shop mail, canon driver to hold or print, either takes long time. size in the print field is 148mb, in the held field, it is 4.2GB! probably because held items contain previews and print field doesn't. not a...

swapped from creo to fiery: this can't be right?

long story, but we swapped out our konica and creo controller to a canon with fiery v8 software 1.1. it just can't be running right. it takes three to four hours to process the same job that the creo did in five to six minutes. this just can't be possible , can it? computer and ram are about...

Canon C9075, has anyone had any positive experience with these machines?

you kind of have to trick the settings little bit, tell it that its a different paper weight than what it actually is, and then they'll only run through the high capacity trays (if configured) or through the bypass tray if not (assumption on the bypass-not configured with it). straight path.

Arizona 550 GT or Vutek QS 2000

Just watching this post as I am also looking at a Arizona 550 GT in combination with a ProCut 2500L cutting table. Wanting to get into more versatile short and long run corrugated and whiteboard production with die-less production. Any suggestions for a newbie would be great.

Swapping from konica 6501 to a Canon Image Runner 9065

Well, we knew when Oce took over service on the Konica C6501, that they would want to swap us into a canon machine sooner or later. Anything wrong with the IR 9065? Offering a buyout on the konica and some other stuff with an imprint cost reduction at an equivalent payment. Seems a fair deal...

Bizhub Konica to Oce, can we use oce toner bottles?

a few months past, our local konica dealer P.O'ed the boss of our company, so we swapped our contract from konica to Oce corporate, and bought a new black canon printer in the process. All went well, but Oce did not swap our konica over to oce toner bottles, and they are now depending on the...

    konica 6500 -xerox 5000

Thanks, I see the Konica breach of contract as a positive thing, and have started re-shopping. Funny, they did the same thing about limiting our toner usage several months ago. Then we Raised some cane when we were doing large runs and ran out of toner as they couldn't supply them quickly...

    konica 6500 -xerox 5000

I agree with the remarks on 6500 streaking. We usually start getting heavy streaks withen a couple hundred clicks following service, except when the other service guy comes by, can go over 10,000 clicks without a streak after that guy services the machine. side note: we've recently been told our...

    Duplo DB-280

any experience with the DB-280 for print-on-demand low to medium volume booklet perfect binding or pad binding? seems equivalent to the sterling digibinder, with the bonus of not having to drop in 220 power.

    small perfect binder?

funny, we got a couple test samples from a few different machines. using both coated glossy and non-coated paper stock. Absolutely no problems with using coated stock with traditional non-PUR glue. funny that.
