Avantra 44 error 64

Hi all.

I resolved the error 6 doing the following things.
Following the references by color provided by STS Tech I could connected the plugs right, also Farshad provided me some info about, which was very important to check them out.
I exchanged one SDM and then I had to enter to this screen:

and deactivate the humidifier, after doing that the feed rollers work right, but now...

I think I have to align the flappers because the film is hitting the head punch before the flappers go down, when the flappers descend, the film is bent and it can not advance. If I introduce a piece of film into head punches I can take it out to outside of the takeup cassete or bridge. Certainly the Avantra got error 06, but now the film can advance onto the drum.

On the other hand, the tool that i used to diagnose the problem of the carriage home sensor was it:

I built it using the connector for the floppy of a computer power supply and on the other side I attached a 4 pins connector that it use for connecting cables to SDM Boards.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

Tony,

Way to go. Try to recal feed motor, now that wiring is correct and see if film loads with no problems.

Hello all.

The Avantra starts to load the film, I think it runs so fast, then it crash against the head punch, then the flappers descend and bend the film. I checked out using the avdiags the DEC Parameter Machine values and all was in 0 (zero), so I wrote them based on the values that are described on Service Manual, but I need at least three values that varies depending on the kind of machine. The following is the current table:

Please, I would like to know if someone have them. I need the following values:
S-Feed Speed
S A/B Offset
S/TU Delay
TUStart Dly

If you need further info, pleas let me know.

Thanks in advance

WTF Tony - are you a porno promouter?
Please use another way to download pictures or you'll get the ban at this site.

Vlad, I am not a porno promouter, these images were put for the site that I used to ulpoad the image,. I changed the server (because I am not interested in bad things), I have a really big problem with this Avantra 44. Thanks for the advice, I don't want to be banned, because I am participating on this forum which is formal and because I need help for this problem.

S-Feed Speed -150
S A/B Offset- every machine has its own parameter, default 0
S/TU Delay - 0
TUStart Dly - 50

Ok, thanks for answering. I found on Service Manual (pag. 246) a reference for aligning the Supply Motor Offset, it says:

Set the S-Feed Current in the second column (for FILM/Plate 3-5.5, M4-
Max) to the lowest setting for the S-Feed Current used on paper (Min-MP).

It does mean S-Feed Curr = 5 for film?

Thanks in advance.

Tony

Nope... 5 is too small to advance the film.
I use recomended 24 28 32 for Narr Med and Wide.
You problem could be different - check your Private Messages

Hi Tony,

Change the DEC Machine parameter's file name sent to your Email from MPSxxxxx(xxxxx) to the serial number of your machine. For example if the serial number is 234 then the xxxxx has to be changed to 00234.

Save the existing Dec machine parameter on your DEC and Download the new file DEC Machine Parameters. Every parameter has been setup on this file .

Check your email!

Hope this will help!

S A/B offcet parameter relates to problems when you load the film from A and B cassettes and you have some quite visible difference in the film placement behaviour (for example interpage gap changes and some (bottom) part of image cuts and appears on the next page).
In your case the problem is common for both cassettes - supply motor has to run just defined number of steps to advance the film into the drum and to stop first time waiting for the flappers to move down...
That number of steps - not DEC parameter and wrote down into the memory of MVCBAC U87 chip on DEC board.

Parameters responsible for speed adjustment for are :
- S - Feed Speed
- S - Feed current
Change:
S-Feed Speed to 150 and S-Feed Current to 36 for FILM
In case there is load for the supply motor ( no media installed ), the S-Feed
Speed parameter determines the speed of this motor. If media is loaded, the speed of the motor will slow down.
This speed variation is transmitted to the Supply SDM board by means of the supply motor encoder and will be compensated with a certain amount of the S-Feed Current.

Hope this will help!

Hi Farshad.

I have not received yet the file on my email, I don't know why.
Please, I would like you to send me the file again.

Thanks in advance.

Vlad, I wonder if it's possible to reprogram this MVCBAC U87 chip on DEC board that you mentioned above.

Thanks in advance.

Nope for on-board reprogramming,
Yes... if you have the "stand-alone programmator" for that type of the chip.
Otherwise you are able just to replace that chip from one DEC to another one, what we did as AGFA Service Reps.

Ok!!! I have the old one, which is inside the old DEC.

Thanks a lot!!!
