Dumb Illustrator question

I'm sure there's a simple answer to this - but I don't use Illustrator CS3 very often so I can't find it.

I want to have a 100% Cyan square partially over print a 100% magenta square.

How do I make it do that? "Overprint" seems only to apply to black and not other colors.

Also, can I preview the result in Illustrator?

thx, J

illustrator overprint

illustrator overprint

no question is dumb . . . in ill cs3 you use the attributes pallet and set the fill to overprint . . . done

to preview it select view . . . overprint preview

Thank you dabob. I made the mistake of searching for "overprint" in the Illustrator help file which, naturally, does not mention the "Attributes" palette.

Sheeesh.

Thanks again, J
