Frequently cleaning impression cylinder after every 2000 sheets

Sheet offset press:
After every 2000 sheets we are cleaning the impression cylinder while printing backside of the sheet, for which front side is printed 2 days before. Problem is occured from last one week.
Paper used was 70 gsm uncoated maplitho paper.
Is there any relation of ink drying with respect to time?
Why this is so.
Suggest me remedy for the same.

How long do your inks stay open before they skin and what are the approximate VOC percentages in them? D

We find on some of our uncoated substrates it is best to back them up wet, before the ink sets up. The wet ink picks less vs. the ink that has began to set-up.

We will sometimes split press runs..100,000 work & turn then run another 100,000 work & turn instead of doing all 200,000 at once to avoid the picking.

Every ink set and stock is different though.

Any ink should dry within a reasonable time frame.
Check the Ph of your dampening fluid.(in the tank on the press)
Get the Ph of the paper tested.
Get the ink manufacturer involved he
can surely help you with the paper Ph and have the inks adjusted as necessary so that they work with this paper.
A lot of "stay open" inks have problems drying quickly enough for rapid turnaround times but it should be good enough to put back through after 2 days.
You say this has been happening since a week ago; Does it happen with all stocks:coated and uncoated, or just this particular paper?
Do you do this job regularly or frequently use this paper? Was there problems previously with this stock?
If not what has changed since the last time it was used.
