Kindly assist.
Our is an ancient CTP (Screen PT-R8000) but very reliable. Recently I encountered an error while imaging. The error is "E018c: Error has occurred on the blower. Please turn off the blower, and turn on after waiting 10 seconds. Also, confirm whether or not the connectors doesn't come off." I tried switching off for more than 10 minutes at one time and now received a different error 'Servo address ilegal'. The error E018c is also coming up if I try to do a fast drum test but a slow drum test checks out fine. All connectors and vacuum pipes are intact - no leaks. I checked the servo pack for any obvious issues and couldn't pick out any.
I have however introduced another error while I was checking around. This time the plate wont load at all with error E517c Mechanical error: PH25H/A sensor doesnt switch on. I change increase a bit light sensitivity on the two fibre sensors, I get error E5139: Mechanical error,

PH25 sensor is ilegal. The sensor detects a plate during plate loading Anyone who can help me out from this mess. * A little background info. I am an ICT consultant and one of my client bought this CTP from an auction some 5 years ago (we are in Zimbabwe). I have learnt my way around it over the years with nothing much in terms of manuals except an installation guide for a PT-r4300 engine. Support is very thin as engineers have to come all the way from South Africa. Any help is most appreciated. Clarence |
