How to view trueflows separation files

Hi,

I'm having a problem with transparency/overprint effects on a particular job. The proof tiff looks ok, but when plated the job does not match the proof where there are transparency/overprint effects.
Is there a way to view the actual separation files that are sent to the platesetter. ie the xxxx.C,xxxx.M,xxxx.Y, xxxx.K files?

Thanks

Hi Greg,

I think you need to use the Dot Tiff Viewer to see the actual sep. on screen using the Advanced PDF workflow.
I'm using ver 7.3 the program on the Installer if disc if it was installed at setup.

Hope this helps

As Duncan said, dot tiff viewer or master file editor depending whether it's Mac or PC workstation you have. You need to set a hand (pause) between rip to recorder and rip. Then when the file has been been ripped go to progress view and you can then choose to open the ripped file with above mentioned software.
