InDesign, color pallett only pastel, cannot change it

I have a large job in InDesign CS3 file which suddenly I cannot change a swatch color, or add one! I was trying to change PMS Process Coated to Pantone Solid coated. It keeps giving me only the option to use the Pastel color pallett. Which I didn't ever use!

Has anyone else had this problem?

This happens even if I open a new job. I can't change it to any color at all, not CMYK, not WEB, nothing, not one of the colors listed in the "Add Swatch". The only choices are pastel.

I use MAC 10.5.4, ID CS3.

If a swatch is imported via a graphic you cannot edit that swatch, until the graphic is removed. Consequent placements of graphics will inherit the first graphcs value for that swatch without questioning the validity of the values.

InDesign swatch issues

Hi Lukas,
Thank you for the reply, wow, good to know! I did find my issue out there on the internet and this is what I did.

I went into my Configure plug-ins, disabled the swatches plugin and its dependancies (created a new plugins set config), then quit and restarted InDesign. After that, I re-enabled all the plugins I disabled (by reloading the default configuration) and restarted InDesign again.

Now my swatches work perfectly!

Thank goodness.
