I want to first say that I am uncertain if I have posted this in the correct area and my apologies if I have.
Hi, I am completely new to this community. I have received a patent on an automobile license plate frame. I currently have my product produced in China but have come to realize that I must get this made in the US. The currency exchange now favors China but even more of a problem is I have huge delays getting my frames shipped here in a timely manner. I am prepared to buy a 2 cavity mold and I have already secured a plastic injection company to make these for me.
My problem is that I have to purchase the hot stamp/foil machine to decorate my frames. I do not have a problem with this but I am very confused at to what type of machine to buy. The license plate is 12" X 6". The raised letters that are molded into each different dealer's frames are approximately 1mm in height. The molded snap as can be seen in the pics is approximately 5.5 mm in height. The molded snap is how I received my patent. Instead of a car dealer using a magnet or strap device to attach the dealer license plate to the car dr's during demo drives, they just snap a dealer plate holder to the license plate frame that all inventory cars have attached. So my dilemma is how do I determine what type of hat stamp machine I need that can print this in 1 pass? Please make a note that the image of the dealer frame attached has the logo to the left and right of the snaps and that is where I see the trouble occurring.
So I have an idea of the type of die that could be used on a 1 pass setup. But I am really looking for some pros to give me some input.
