Xeikon has launched a new digital label press based on its scalable, next-generation Cheetah 2.0 technology. The Xeikon CX300 is a 330mm (13”) label press featuring a monthly production capacity of over 50,000 square meters, in a single shift operation.

The 5-station, full-color, CMYK press is equipped with a single-pass opaque white but can also support color gamut expansion, and custom or security colors. Markets served by the CX300 include: wine, spirits, craft beer, luxury food, health & beauty labels, etc.—and can also be used for the production of heat transfer labels, in-mould labeling, wet glue, wraparound labels and cartons.

Additional Cheetah 2.0 features include—
  • Dry toner printing operating at 30m/min (98ft/min).
  • Variable Web width between 220mm (8.6”) & 512mm (20.3”) wide.
  • LED imaging head operating at 1200x3600 dpi.
  • Cheetah developer station—holding the Cheetah toner—for high color consistency across & along the web, yielding a higher volume of sellable output & reduced waste.
  • New generation interfaces allow the operator to access job status remotely, and communicate specific actions that need to be taken.
  • The integration of inline or offline, pre & post, equipment.
  • Cloud connected for real time data.
  • Integrated quality management systems to monitor & adjust press operation.
