Magnus Problem - URGENT

After some advice if anyone can help to get a job plated which is desperate to be on press in next hour  - getting the following when trying to make a plate:

Fatal fault (02325) laser diode: possible coolant failure (WLP fault) (error code = 044302 error catergory = 7, Fatal, Device cannot recover)

Magnus has been completely shut down and restarted several times, different jobs have been tried but it is still giving the above error. The plate loads onto the drum no problem, then this error happens. The plate will unload from the drum when you tell the magnus to do so without having to do it manually. Also tried different sized plates (B3 rather than B2) and Thermal Direct plates, but same error.

Any ideas on what to try anyone???

If you only need one plate - turn the system off and let it sit for 30 minutes to allow the laser to cool down.
If you have AC try to lower the temperature as much as possible in the room.
Then turn it back on and try to send the job immediately after it goes in ready..
Repeat the above for the subsequent plates.
Your problem is caused either by a coolant circulation problem (most probably circulation pump seized or dead motor) or the peltier cooler inside the laser.
Did you check the coolant level in the reservoir?

It is very important that you get the cooler(chiller)replaced. I have seen this cause major problems with the laser. It is a common occurance. If you have any further questions or any assistance in
the replacement of the chiller, I would be happy to help.

Many thanks for these replies - seem to be bang on - managed to get a Kodak engineer on Sunday (no mean feat!) - he reckons a siezed coolant pump which is now changed - just putting it all back together and checking on condition of laser head....

when your fan goes out then this happens and you need it to make a plate or several plates, you can pull the heat exchanger out from under the magnus or any trendsetter for that matter then go find you a industrial fan that blows cool air out at a fast pace to force air through the fins of the radiator, this works too but don't forget to pull that filter out or it can't keep those fins cool enough.
