First, obvious check is that the Magnus is powered on (main power and yellow buttons)
You should have 2 ethernet cables in the back on the PC
One should go to your network switch, the other should go direct to the Magnus
Check that cables are connected both at the back of the PC and in the Magnus.
Check the network settings in Windows, there may be 4 network connections, the one you want is called GMCE Master Connection
Check that this does not have a red X on it, if it does, there is a either a physical or settings problem with that network connection.
Open the connection and check the TCP-IP settings, should look something like this:

Thanks Magnus59. I found out that the usb cables had to be in their specific spots. I just plugged them in, but that was wrong.

I have the same problem. After short circuit we cannot connect anymore with this message

Hi, we have the same error screen as others have reported on our Magnus 400. I've attached some log files and a photo of the error.

We’ve been closed over Christmas and the Magnus wouldn’t image plates yesterday when we came back in. It would load plates onto the drum but wouldn’t image the plate, gave an error, then unloaded the plate without imaging. I tried this for about 5 plates and on 2 different plate sizes but the same thing happened on each plate.

I restarted a few times and got some heaters in the room thinking it might have been too cold for it after the cold weather.

I opened the front cover to remove a plate that was waiting to be loaded onto the drum and restarted the machine again (with the lid open). Since I did that the controller software doesn’t start (photo attached) and gives an error. Now it won’t even load the plate onto the drum.

I’ve attached the log files. (Please note that yesterday I unplugged and replaced the network cable from the PC to the Magnus to see if that would make any difference, so you will probably see connection issues in the log file from yesterday. The log entries from this morning are clean, I’ve come in and switched the machine on so you have a clean log from this morning).

We are hard down at the moment so need to get this sorted ASAP, I’m hoping someone can help.
